Vegetable meat, sweets and popcorn: what will be the "Ukrainian shelves" of supermarkets in Europe and the USA

"Ukrainian shelves" in supermarkets around the world have attracted more than 60 manufacturers.

In the first two weeks, the Ucare by FoodTech Shelf project received more than 60 applications from Ukrainian manufacturers who want to export their products to Europe and the United States. Among them are very well-known companies that produce popcorn, ice cream, coffee, pastries, candy and even vegetable meats.

Immediately after the launch, the project aroused the interest of Ukrainian manufacturers — in the first three days, more than 30 companies registered on the Ucare by FoodTech Shelf website. As of mid-October, 63 applications have already been collected.

UCARE helps to establish contacts between food producers and retailers in Europe and the United States, creating special "Ukrainian shelves" in foreign supermarkets. All applications from manufacturers with contacts and product catalog are verified by project specialists. After that, the manufacturer receives a letter from UCARE with a specification file, where he indicates complete information about his products. Next, the product is processed and assembled into a single database.

UCARE works with almost any long-term storage food item (from 6 months) and added value (not raw materials). Products must be manufactured in Ukraine and attractively packaged, must meet the requirements of the USA and the EU. Western markets and retail care a lot about the safety of products submitted for sale, which means that if the network is interested, the manufacturer must provide all the necessary certification and it is possible to undergo an audit of the enterprise.

The project aims to become a "bridge" between retail chains and manufacturers. Logistics, storage of goods, marketing, operational work, negotiations on deliveries are carried out by UCARE.

The team will direct part of the profits to charity, as well as to support Ukrainian projects in the field of FOOD TECH. Thanks to UCARE, Ukrainian companies, even in conditions of war, receive an impetus to development, scale, earn and pay wages. Western retailers are expanding the range of products, increasing turnover and getting loyal customers. And Ukrainian refugees abroad have the opportunity to buy their favorite products from Ukraine.
